Our monthly meeting is coming up fast! Mark your calendars for December 7, riders, it’s the most important meeting of the year— we’ll have the fit kit there. Also, if you’re interested in joining Half Acre Cycling and missed our November open house, this is a great chance to meet us and see what’s up. Let us know if you’re interested and we’ll send along the details, poste haste.
We’d like to welcome the newest members of our Half Acre family! We had a great turnout at our membership open house and it looks like Half Acre Cycling will be back stronger than ever next year, with greater representation on the road and on the trails.

This upcoming weekend — October 5th, Sunday — North Central Cyclery and Half Acre Cycling co-host the second race of the ChiCrossCup at Hopkins Park in DeKalb, IL.
We’re having a PA with pump-you-up-punk music, a shelter for you to change and take cover from any weather conditions that are PRO-cross but not PRO-standing around waiting to race, a bake sale with cupcakes, as well as waffles with toppings like Nutella, bananas, peanut butter and whatever else we can think of.
Also, posters will be for sale at the race, 11×17, $5 to raise funds for the team in the coming ’09 season.
