Crit wrap-up: time for your feedback.

We threw 5 criteriums (criteria?) and want to know what you think. What would you change? What did you like? What wacky idea would you dare us to incorporate?

Your comments are important to us.

  1. Awesome job. THis is my first year racing, and it was perfect. I’ll sign up again next year.

  2. Overall Excellent!
The course was nice, the one true corner was wide and clean, allowing the beginners to learn. The final corners were fast for an exciting finish. Well supported with cheering and encouragement along the course, registration was a breeze.

    Suggestions for next year:
    less wind

  3. awesome job at being able to run 5 races in 5 days.

having people there earlier for registration would be helpful.

having a few more minutes between the start of races would also be good too.

  4. youse guys did a good thing with this.

one change i would make is for the finish to be little farther from the final turn. guys were attacking through the turn, and i heard some wheels rub (or someone skidded along a curb) one time.

  5. You guys did a great job pulling this together – although I don’t have much to compare it to since these were my first races ever. But that’s the point, right? You made it easy to give racing a try – and I kinda dig it! Looking forward to next year!

  6. Nicely put together series. Great surface. Darn windy. Good sized fields everyday. Lots of fun. Would race again next year in a heartbeat.

  7. Fantastic race. The easier it is to race, the more likly that people will give it a try. I wish it was around last year when I was new!

That there was racing every day made for different racing situations given the wind and weather…perfect for logging varried experience.

    Do it again next year!

  8. Great idea, and even better execution. I only raced once, but I was very impressed. Bike racing can be such an elitist sport—and its great to be able to introduce people to the sport in a less threatening way.

If its possible next year, I’d love to see a 75 rider limit for the Men’s 4/5 field. If you allowed 50 to preregister, but reserved the rest of the spots for one-day riders (charging them the appropriate extra fee) I think you could get even more folks racing. I should add that I think the course can safely accommodate a field that size.

Fantastic work. I’ll happily talk up the series next year.
