Women's Night- Holy Wowsa!

All the naysayers are stammering for words, because last night, in a city where promoters thought that women just didn’t race, more than 60 women gathered to talk about racing bikes!

Most exciting, though, was the more than half the attendees who are looking at getting into racing for the first time. Triathletes, commuters, and other bike enthusiasts came out to learn how to get started in the sport. We’re really, really looking forward to next spring when women will be coming out in force. Special thanks to our hosts Half Acre Brewing and Specialized, whose committment to the community and to women’s cycling once again shone through.

Half Acre Cycling is open to new women members at any time, and warmly welcomes first-timers to our fold of racers with heart, but we don’t care who you join or even if you join any team. We are thrilled to see more women out there, making cycling their home.
